New Year 2020

New Year 2020 is upon us and as not only a new year begins so too does a new decade. In the words of John Lennon both you and I truly can ask ourselves -  'Another Year over and what have done?' Take a moment and reflect. As various TV programs rehash the highlights of the past year, both sporting and political, what about your own personal year? How was it for you? Had you any goals? How did attempting to manifest them go? What have you learned? How much, rehashing the old script of your life on autopilot, did you do? And how much, taking the initiative and improving the script of your life, did you do? I asked myself those question on and off over the last months, and as usual, have come up with the lessons learnt, noted the progress made and decided on the course of action the next year and years will take if I have anything to do with it. And of course I have something to do with the course of my own life. We all have authority over our own lives. And the course your life...

Addiction Demystified

Addiction Demystified is my latest little book on the subject of addiction recovery. Drawn from my own experience of overcoming compulsive eating at the age of nineteen after five years of being in the clutches of the compulsion to binge on food when I was already full. Learning how to heal myself of this terrible affliction led me to study the phenomenon of addiction in all its forms, and I came to realise what heals one addiction will heal another. This is looked at in my book Addiction Demystified. In it, I boil addiction down to its causes and how to heal it within yourself. We can lead an addiction free life and I disclose instances from my own life relevant to the subject. It is a lovely little book which I enjoyed writing very much. It is packed with the concise and precise information that hits directly where is needed to tackle your addiction effectively. You can start today on your journey away from a life of addiction. Enjoy!! http://www.lulu.com/shop/sofia-bothwell/a...

True Slimness #3

Image
Here is one of my You Tube Videos on overcoming compulsive eating - Valuable information, which, when put into practice really does enable us to learn the art of stopping when full and being able to be naturally slim all our lives. This is something I experienced myself over thirty years ago and have been naturally slim ever since. It is a joy and a privilege to be able to live a life free from compulsive eating and the misery of that type of living and dealing with emotions. Compulsive eating, whether you realise it or not, is in fact a way of dealing with emotions - a dysfunctional way, for it involves the suppression of emotion rather than the resolving   of emotion. The real healing comes when we truly learn how to feel our feelings, resolve our emotional issues and have high self-acceptance. All this I teach in my one to one Skype sessions and if you have a group of friends that would like to be part of an on-line support group via google hangouts do contact me on sofia22...

Russel Brand

Awesome man, so rightly states that addiction is a substitute for real living. I can highly recommend his book ''Recovery'' https://youtu.be/8NaJdHZSPqM

Living life

We have a life and we are to live it. That is something we all have in common - all the billions of us on this beautiful planet earth. However many ideas and inclinations we may have about the life we would like, there seems to be as many disturbances and blocks to that good and lovely life. Distractions seem to be rife. We have this earth, our house, the surrounding city, town or countryside to see, feel , smell and touch - in short to experience with our senses and then we have the other - The other being the media - the unreal forms on the TV or computer screen. This false media driven thing should only complement our lives and not dominate our lives. For many it is a replacement for life. An addiction to many. A thing that numbs them to the gaping hole that is a life filled with unresolved emotional debris. Our culture does little or nothing to help people clean up their emotional debris bit by bit as a way of life that is easy enough to do. So we are left with emotional debris...

Transitioning to Vegan

Many people want to become Vegan for a variety of reasons: It is healthier to eat Vegan. Links have been made between dairy and Cancer. It has been proven that milk contains puss. Even though you don't actually kill the animal yourself, you are paying someone on the lowest rung of the socio-economic scale, someone who has very few career or job choices, to kill for you. Factory farming has been shown to be so cruel. The separation of Mother Cow and calf  that is part of the milk / dairy industry causes so much pain and suffering to the animals. Some dairy Cows never even see daylight or a field. When folk are presented with this information they want to 'go Vegan' but still find it difficult. This is where I come in, for I teach the principles of 'giving up' . Giving up 'food when full'. Giving up smoking. Giving up any addiction. And these principles can be successfully applied to giving up dairy. I am 99.9% Vegan myself and 100% Veggie. I person...
