Giving up addiction
To give up an addiction is no small task. It is a learned coping mechanism that was unconsciously learned in order to handle some long forgotten trauma.
It is a learned habit, a habit that evolved in your life and in your lifestyle. To pinpoint and resolve the original issue sends ripples out that change you, your life and your lifestyle.
You will no longer be eating when full or indulging in any addiction when you pinpoint and resolve that emotional stuff that underlie your compulsion to eat when full or indulge in any other addiction.
You will no longer be reaching for the cigarette, or wine, or anti-depressant when you have healed that which caused you to crave those things in the first place.
You can't help but think we must have all made a lot of mistakes and been the victim of the mistakes of others in order for so many people to be so wounded that practically everyone is addicted to something.
'The world is a mess,' you may say. 'Everyone knows that. So, is healing one by one that which drives the addiction machine going to help create a better world, and can it be done in time?' For sure.
Healing your own individual wounds helps you and helps the world.
Do you know how many people are actively working on healing themselves of what drives them to alcohol, cigarettes, food when full etc? Hundreds of thousands if not millions are reading self-help books, listening to self-help audios and You tube videos, or going to talks and lectures by the greats in the metaphysical fields because they want their lives to be better. They know addiction does not work. They know food when full makes them fat, they know the booze gives them one too many bad repercussions. They know they want a better life and often their seeking provides the answers they have been looking for.
I am part of that, having suffered from and recovered from compulsive eating, having been a smoker and given up cigarettes and booze, dairy and meat to live a happier healthier life, I've been teaching how you too can do the same through my Skype, fb video calls and my books available from Amazon and lulu on line publishing. I wish you a speedy and longstanding healing of whatever you are addicted to and with my sessions and/or books I can show you how.
May we all be part of this beautifully evolving changing world, even if we have to go through and heal the difficult stuff to get to the really good stuff.
