Healing and Growing

We all have ideas of who we want to be and what we want our life to be like. Many want to be thinner, richer, in love etc etc etc. And we all have stuff to heal. Trauma acknowledged or unacknowledged does indeed effect our lives to a greater or lesser extent. In general, in our Western World we are more inclined to ignore or suppress our emotional traumas than face and heal them. The methods of healing, the most effective methods of healing are often poo-pooed, ridiculed or viewed with suspicion. Yet many folk are unexplainably drawn to these unusual methods of healing. 'Alternative' - Yes that is the wide umbrella that the more unusual and less known methods shelter under. Alternative medicine is medicine indeed. From acupuncture to aromatherapy, from Yoga to Veganism we have a wide range of wonderful therapies and lifestyles to choose from to heal whatever needs healing. London

Image
Now London was a new experience for me. I moved there over twenty years ago when I was twenty years old. It was one of the best things I ever did. You know when you change on the inside - the outside changes too. And this is true. I had done the inner work of pinpointing and resolving my emotional stuff and there and then the opportunity presented itself to me to go to London to live. No jobs in Ireland at that time and already feeling  like the black sheep of the family it seemed like a good idea to say 'Yes' when my boyfriend suggested I go with him when he went to London to look for work. A single ticket to London bought and my first journey abroad alone took me to one of the worlds capitol cities - blessed London. It was to become my home for twelve whole years. Years of change and heartache and growing and working and learning. I gave birth to my son there and studied addiction recovery and set up my own self-help support groups for compulsive eating women.

Sofia, Author and Speaker

Hi, My name is Sofia Bothwell and I am the author of two self-help books that are now available on Amazon. True Slimness and Simply Full. My journey started with my recovery from compulsive eating when I was eighteen. I devoured the second hand books on psychology and holistic living that I found in the local bookstore on my lunch break. My recovery from compulsive eating sent me on a journey of following the still small voice within, and that led me to London where I studied addiction recovery and conducted independent research at The Womens' Therapy Centre and The Mary Ward Centre. My writing started several years later and finally with the help of on line self publishing LULU I was able to complete my books with ISBN 's and sell them at the local health fairs, where I would also give taster sessions and free workshops on how to lose excess weight permanently and naturally through resolving the emotional issues that can cause us to eat when full. https://www.amazon.co...
